Angus Fisher's new body of work investigates ideas of how the ‘natural’ world exists in human imagination and our ever-growing efforts to contain and control it. The exhibition features both drawings and hand-coloured etchings, much of which were conceived while completing a residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris throughout early 2019. Some works aims to scrutinise European traditions of collecting, collating, taming and subjugating the 'natural' world. Other works investigate Australian subject matter and the intersection of the ‘natural’ and ‘unnatural’ worlds.
