Shelter + Storm

Future Garden (Ree Hegh; Northern NSW, Chris Bennie; Brisbane) is an artist collaboration producing sculpture, video, sound and performance artworks.

Shelter and Storm is a room-sized installation in Gallery 1, Wellington St. Projects. It presents sculpture alongside video to reveal a tension between objects and their relationship to our bodies. Future Garden combines Ree and Chris's individual engagement with objects, materials, and media to construct a spatial composition that is immersive, uncanny and tentative.

Bleed into my Blues

It became known as OUR rock. Arrows in the sand lead the way. The weight of not knowing the last time I was with the rock has begun to haunt me. OUR rock. I long to return. To look out from the escarpment across the valley of the Blue Mountains in the distance, fade away. Images engraved in memory. Bleed into my Blues, I vow to never return to the rock. Memories and evidence, all that remains.

Bleed into my Blues is a retracing of personal histories, documenting sites of devout personal meaning. The landscape evolving, memories destroyed and regenerated by time. Stories which we hold show the fading personal histories that we’ve lost.
