Fit for Purpose explores the economic, environmental and social conditions of fashion and centres on six international designers and collectives whose work is driving change through explorative, sustainable, ethical and collaborative practices. The exhibition will be extended through a diverse program of events, including workshops presented with students from the UTS School of Design, a weekly public lecture series, curator tours, and a multidisciplinary panel on the intersection of art, design and sustainability as part of Art Month Sydney 2020.

The exhibition will be launched by Dr Gene Sherman AM, Founder, Executive and Artistic Director of the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas.
