Curated by David Charles Collins & Paul McDonald
Exhibition Launch - Friday 22nd March 6pm-8pm
Do we self-curate our lives to be accepted by our peers and society?
How do we present core aspects of our identities, such as gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity?
Self-curation can be a positive way to affirm our true selves. Alternatively it can misrepresent ourselves to the world.
Are we creating versions of ourselves for different people? What impact does this have on mental health and wellbeing?
Do we do curate our lives to communicate our ‘authentic selves’ in an understandable way? Or is it a polished fantasy / fetish of how we perceive ourselves or desire to be perceived by others?
