Nicole Monks

Knox St Window is pleased to present a new work by Nicole Monks, Miruguru everlasting flower (yellow).

A trans-disciplinary artist and designer of Yamatji, Wajarri, Dutch and English heritage, Monks' use of the native, everlasting flower to depict an Aboriginal flag, acts as a reminder that this land now known as Australia, always was and always will be home to the longest continuing culture in the world.

The latest in a long line of exciting artists who have graced Sydney's smallest art space, Knox St Window is open to the public 24 hours a day, with new installations by emerging artists every 6 weeks.
